Our Heart and Mission
We seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ and to share God’s love through worship, learning, fellowship, and service. Rooted in Scripture and growing in the grace of God, we strive to be a church where faith is not merely something we profess on Sunday morning, but something we live throughout the week.

The Heart of Our Faith
At the heart of our faith is Jesus Christ. We believe in the grace of God that reaches us, forgives us, transforms us, and calls us to grow in love of God and neighbor. As United Methodists, we seek to follow Christ together through Scripture, prayer, worship, Christian fellowship, and lives of loving service.
Spiritual Growth
Christian formation is a lifelong journey. Through Sunday School, Bible study, worship, conversation, and fellowship, we seek not merely to know what the Scriptures say, but to understand them and put our faith into practice in everyday life. At Salmon UMC, there is always room to ask questions, learn together, and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Mission and Service
Following Jesus Christ means putting our faith into action. Through the ministries of our congregation, United Women in Faith, our Missions Committee, and the wider United Methodist connection, we seek opportunities to serve our neighbors, care for those in need, and share God’s love both within our community and beyond it. Whether the need is across the street or across the world, we believe every act of Christian service can make a difference.
Music Ministry
Music is an important part of worship at Salmon UMC. Our Music Director, Eryk Foss, beautifully arranges and conducts the heavenly voices of our choir each Sunday morning, while Sally Foss fills the sanctuary with music from our Steinway grand piano. Together with the choir, they lift our spirits through traditional and contemporary music, enriching our worship and welcoming all who wish to share their musical gifts and joyful hearts.
Children and Families
Children are an important part of our church family. Children’s Sunday School is offered during our 11:00 AM Sunday worship hour, providing a welcoming place for our younger members to learn about God, explore the Bible, ask questions, and grow in faith. As this ministry develops, we look forward to discovering together where God may lead it and how we can better serve the children and families of our community.
